Statement of Faith
It’s important to know the beliefs of the person who is trying to teach about Christ. I’ve done my best to put together a Statement of Faith. If you have any questions for me, please do not hesitate to ask. You can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
I believe in one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all, (Ephesians 4:5-6) existing externally in three persons: Father, Son – who is fully human and fully divine (Colossians 2:9), and the Holy Spirit. I believe that all men have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23-25), and that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood (Romans 3:23-25). I believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord Jesus Christ and His ascension into heaven (Acts 1:3,9). Those who want to receive eternal salvation need to accept Christ and only Him through faith (1 John 5:11-12) and not on the basis of righteous works (Ephesians 2:8-9). I believe in the indwelling Holy Spirit in a believer (Romans 8:9-10), the freedom a believer has from the broken chains of sin, the ability to crucify the flesh with its passions and desires (Galatians 5:1, 24), the continuous growth of faith through discipline (Hebrews 12:10), and the ability to fight against sin and temptation with the help of God (1 Corinthians 10:13). I believe in the unique divine inspiration, entire trustworthiness and authority of the Bible (2 Timothy 3:16). I believe in the calling to glorify the Lord by being of the same mind with believers, maintaining the same love, united in spirit, intent on one purpose. (Philippians 2:2).
